Over the past two years, Production Premium (and more importantly, Premiere Pro) has seen a lot more ‘action’ in Hollywood and post-production realms. One of the latest high-profile uses of the CS6 workflow is being showcased in a new film entitled A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python’s Graham Chapman.
For Monty Python fans everywhere, the troupe’s most iconic character is being brought to life (and to the big screen) in a holistic 3D stereographic film, celebrating his life, his influence, and his multifaceted career. The film will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, followed by the premiere on EPIX/EPIX-HD and in select U.S. theaters in 3D on Friday, November 2, 2012, and theatrically in the U.K. in January.
In a joint effort with the filmmakers, Adobe is sponsoring a contest called ‘Animate Chapman’. Here are the details to get you started:
–Open to students, amateurs and professional animators
–Animate the world renown British comedy troupe Monty Python, by choosing from one of 8 audio clips spanning Chapman’s career and visualizing it in your own style and technique, using Adobe® Creative Suite® 6 Production Premium software.
—Final Date For Submissions has been extended to 1st January 2013! 10 winners will be chosen and receive a copy of CS6 Production Premium and get showcased on PythonOnline and the Monty Python YouTube Channel.
In addition to the contest, Adobe (and the film’s creators) are hosting an Online Seminar on 27 September at 10:00PST.
