Ask A Pro: Creative Cloud Session, Switcher Promo Continues

Our Ask A Pro series continues all throughout November. On the 29th at 10:00am PST, I’ll be conducting a session on Switching to the Creative Cloud & CS6 for Video Professionals. This session is intended to show users how to begin working with Creative Cloud (and clear up any misconceptions they may have) as well as highlight some of the features in applications like Adobe Prelude, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition and Adobe Media Encoder that make switching from other NLEs (ie, Final Cut Pro, Avid, Vegas) that much easier.

You can find out more and register for the session here:

And don’t forget, we’re still running our Switcher campaign, offering up to 40% on Adobe’s professional video tools. For more info, visit this link:

“Sabi Sabi” has dropped! Available on iTunes and everywhere.

It’s with a huge smile on my face that I happily announce ‘Sabi Sabi’ has come to iTunes, Amazon and everywhere else!

Only a few short months ago, I visited this magical place, got inspired, wrote a tune, blogged about it, shot a short film about it (still in progress) and recorded the song (with dozens of various additions/remixes since my original posting) and now it’s official. I’ll tell you, it never gets old seeing those titles up there, available for sale 🙂

Incidentally, my dear friend Marinke created the new Just Play Music™ logo that adorns the single’s cover art; I think it’s totally brilliant, and truly captures the spirit of the show.

You can check out the final version of Sabi Sabi HERE via iTunes, or HERE via Amazon. The single is also available internationally, so just fire up iTunes/Amazon/Rhapsody, search for ‘Sabi Sabi Jason Levine’ and you’ll be rocking!

Thank you South Africa, thank you Fela Kuti, and thanks for listening! Hope you enjoy it.

CS6 Adobe Video Day coming to Eastern Europe

Just before year’s end, I’ll be hitting the road to present CS6 Production Premium (and Adobe Creative Cloud) in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Unlike the launch tour we did back in the summertime, this seminar series will focus solely on video production workflow. Most of (if not all) content will be from my recent shoot in Africa with some additional materials from some recent interview docs I shot over the last year. For this, I’ll be showing my actual process from capture to ingest (largely shot on Nikon D800 and D4 DSLRs), logging to rough cut, re-cut to post-processing, audio sweetening and mobile delivery. Of course, the main ‘theme’ underlying all of this is how I’m also using Creative Cloud as part of this workflow, not only using the applications themselves, but the services involved as part of the Creative Cloud offering.

There’s still time to register (links below) and we’ll even have a few on-stage surprises for you (ok, I’ll spill the beans…I think I’m going to be doing some live, on-stage recording…something I haven’t really done in about 7 years. We’ll have instruments, we’ll have microphones, and my esteemed colleagues will be joining me to cut some live, music-to-picture)

I’m still working out the formal agenda, but I will post that in the next few days.

For Poland, CLICK HERE.

While not a full-on Masters Tour (like the ones we’ve done in the past), this is a really great opportunity to meet with inspired customers, deep-dive into the applications and the actual real-world workflows, and also get a few hours to share some face time, ask questions, and have a genuinely good time.

Hope to see you there!
