CS6 Adobe Video Day coming to Eastern Europe

Just before year’s end, I’ll be hitting the road to present CS6 Production Premium (and Adobe Creative Cloud) in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Unlike the launch tour we did back in the summertime, this seminar series will focus solely on video production workflow. Most of (if not all) content will be from my recent shoot in Africa with some additional materials from some recent interview docs I shot over the last year. For this, I’ll be showing my actual process from capture to ingest (largely shot on Nikon D800 and D4 DSLRs), logging to rough cut, re-cut to post-processing, audio sweetening and mobile delivery. Of course, the main ‘theme’ underlying all of this is how I’m also using Creative Cloud as part of this workflow, not only using the applications themselves, but the services involved as part of the Creative Cloud offering.

There’s still time to register (links below) and we’ll even have a few on-stage surprises for you (ok, I’ll spill the beans…I think I’m going to be doing some live, on-stage recording…something I haven’t really done in about 7 years. We’ll have instruments, we’ll have microphones, and my esteemed colleagues will be joining me to cut some live, music-to-picture)

I’m still working out the formal agenda, but I will post that in the next few days.

For Poland, CLICK HERE.

While not a full-on Masters Tour (like the ones we’ve done in the past), this is a really great opportunity to meet with inspired customers, deep-dive into the applications and the actual real-world workflows, and also get a few hours to share some face time, ask questions, and have a genuinely good time.

Hope to see you there!

CS6 Tour Site is LIVE. Pics, Vids & More…

It’s hard to believe that we’re a little more than half-way thru the CS6 WW Launch Tour.

I’ve been planning a little wrap-up post on the blog (as well as some posted content, as promised at recent shows in Moscow and Istanbul) but in the interim, I thought I would link to our special CS6 Tour Site, created entirely in Muse (in an airport lounge no less) by my good friend and evangelist road warrior, Terry White.

I’m currently in London, filming a series of special videos to be presented at a later date. Following the studio gig here, we’ll be off to S.Africa to present in Johannesburg & Capetown…and following those shows, Terry, Paul and I will fly out to Sabi Sabi to participate in a Nikon-sponsored nature/wildlife event. I’ll have the D4 and D800 at my disposal (along with an arsenal of lenses) to capture some incredible video, all of which will appear in future presos and videos here and on Vimeo.

More from the road…stay tuned.

Adobe Creative Cloud and CS6 Tour – Tack Stockholm! Kiitos Helsinki!

This past week concluded with fantastic shows in both Helsinki and Stockholm (the latter of which was a complete sell-out!)

Here’s a short video with a look at the crowds and more info from the customers about what is really resonating with this latest release…

Perhaps not surprisingly, interest in the Creative Cloud continues to be very high, along with the new Touch Apps and even some classic applications like Audition.

This week, we’ll be in Oslo, Prague, Warsaw and Istanbul, with the following week in Kortrijk and Amsteram…and it’s only the beginning.

tak, København! Adobe Creative Cloud/CS6 Tour Begins

Greetings from Helsinki! Yesterday was the first day of our 8-week, multi-city/multi-country tour. With an inspired crowd of 750 people, we spent 4 hours together covering Creative Cloud, Creative Suite 6 and all the goodness that comes along with it.

This tour, however, we’ll be documenting each city as we move along; so here’s a short video that I put together last night giving you a little glimpse or what it was like yesterday in Copenhagen…

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s update from Helsinki. Creative Cloud is really resonating; it’s a great start and truly exciting times at Adobe.

Incidentally, and since we’re on the topic of touring…it is with great sadness that I must inform you that my dear friend, colleague, long-time road warrior and official “road spouse” Greg Rewis is leaving Adobe. After 15 years he has decided to get back in the development game at a very promising start-up in the Phoenix area. You can read all about it HERE.

To be honest, there really aren’t words to express how much I’ll miss being with Greg on the road. We’ve literally lived each other’s lives for so long, there will be a definite sense of loss in each of these cities. So many stories, so many experiences, so many days (and years) together. All I can say is: all of us (Terry, Paul, Rufus) will continue to ‘fly the torch’, so to speak, and carry-on your spirit with every show, every Masters seminar, and in my case, every high kick.

Greg, I love you, man. You know I do. I wish you all the best, always.
